There are a lot of Georgia photographers to choose from but newborn photography is unlike any other kind of photography. Be sure to hire a photographer who knows how to carefully handle and safely pose your baby as well as know how to work a camera, light and edit your little one. But the safety of your baby is the highest priority!

Choose a photographer who specializes in or has alot of experience with babies. They may be the best wedding or portrait photographer around but you want someone who is experienced in posing, caring for and photographing an infant. It's harder than it looks!!

Be sure to choose a photographer who's style you love!! An experienced photographer will have all babys fingers and toes perfectly posed and lighting will fall softly across babys face. Baby will look comfortable and relaxed and their face will never be buried in a blanket. An invested photographer will have all the props for your session as well. This is an investment! Choosing a newborn photographer is just as important as choosing your wedding photographer, if not more! 

The best time to book your newborn session with any photographer is in your second trimester. I am currently booking babies into September 2016!

A little about me...

Before starting my business I was a preschool teacher for 13 years which gave me alot of experience with children. I have been specializing in newborn/ baby photography for over five years now. My husband and I run our business full time and we photograph over 300 babies a year! We have two boys of our own and know all too well how quickly they grow. Our babies are 11 and 18 now! I have traveled and learned from the top newborn photographers in the world and now I am teaching other newborn photographers how to safely pose and photograph babies. My work has been featured in several magazines and Im proud to say Shannon Leigh Studios was named one of the top 10 newborn photographers in the world by Top Ten Magazine in 2015!!
